WHO IS IT FOR?

OVERVIEW

This five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) covers relevant health, safety and environmental legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. The SMSTS course in endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all construction managers.

WHAT DO I NEED?

PRE-REQUISITES

There are no formal requirements, however, delegates should hold, or be about to hold, the role of a site manager. Previous health an safety knowledge is recommended. Those without previous health and safety management experience are recommended to sit the two-day SSSTS course. HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

DURATION

Five-day course. Delegates are required to complete the full course (37.5 hours) to be eligible for certification. It is highly recommended to take this course for five days consecutively for continuity and flow. If you have any questions, please call us at . Delegates are required to attend all sessions in accordance with course programme to qualify for certificate. If this is not possible, the delegate must enrol on a new course and retake the full five-day course.

ANY EXAMS I NEED TO PASS?

ASSESSMENTS

To successfully acheive the course, delegates must:

  • Complete all four core exercises
  • Pass trainer review
  • Pass end of course exam. (25 questions)
WHAT WILL I GET WHEN I PASS THE COURSE?

CERTIFICATION

Successful delegates will be issued with a CITB SMSTS certificate which is valid for five years. To renew your license, you must take SMSTS-Refresher course before your SMSTS certificate expires.

To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a SMSTS-refresher course before the expiry date on your SMSTS certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.
