WHO IS IT FOR?

OVERVIEW

This is a one-day course designed for those who are involved in the tunnel construction industry as a member of the workforce.

This TSTS course is designed to help them understand a variety of different aspects of the industry, the associated working environment, and some of the potential hazards that they may face working on a tunnelling site.

WHAT DO I NEED?

PRE-REQUISITES

The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English. If you have concerns in this area, please call us on 01275 398 665. The minimum age of attendance for this course is 16 years old, however delegates who are under the age of 18 must bring a completed parental consent form to the first day of the training course.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

DURATION

One day. Full day (7.5 hours).

ANY EXAMS I NEED TO PASS?

ASSESSMENTS

25 Multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. Must be completed in 30 minutes. Pass mark is 72%.

WHAT WILL I GET WHEN I PASS THE COURSE?

CERTIFICATION

Successful delegates will be issued with a TSTS certificate which has a three-year life.

BTS Health and Safety Course

TSTS is an introduction to obtaining an understanding of health and safety in tunnelling and becoming aware of hazards and risks in the tunnelling environment. Further health and safety related information on a variety of aspects of tunnelling can be gained by attending the annual BTS Health and Safety Course.
